Yandere Girl

I had been waiting for weeks to do this, biding my time for the perfect moment to approach. When I woke up this morning, I realized I couldn’t wait any more, I needed to do it. I had been following him home for weeks, taking my time to memorize his every day schedule. On Mondays, he left with his friends, going to one of their houses or inviting them to his. On Wednesdays and Fridays, he played for the basketball team - of course, I went to every single one of his games.

I knew every step he took to go home, and I followed that path again, though without him this time. I tried to look casual to those around me, though no one ever really questioned a young girl in a school uniform. It took me around fifteen minutes to get to his house on quickened footsteps, knowing I would have an hour or two until his basketball training ended. Sometimes, he even stayed longer to talk to his teammates. That was just the nice person he was - it was part of what I loved about him.

I stepped through the open gates, knowing he usually forgot to lock it on his way out. I looked back, wanting to make sure no one was watching me. My steps were almost silent as I arrived at his front door, immediately facing his pin pad.

It took me exactly two weeks and two days to figure out what code he was entering, since I was watching from a distance. A binocular really helped with that. I entered the code, and was pleased when it clicked open almost instantly. I opened the door and clicked it shut behind me, immediately overwhelmed with his scent.

Yes, this is where my crush lived, one I would never be able to stop thinking about. I peered around the room, having seen it from outside a few times before. I knew his parents were the ones to choose the decoration, so that wasn’t quite what I was interested in. I hurried to his bedroom, only stopping a few times to see the photos of him as a child, so cute and innocent I could barely take it.

His door was ajar, and I could smell him even more inside of it. He was an only child, and it was clear to me how neat and tidy he really was as soon as I entered. His bed was made, and his computer desk was almost completely free of dust. His personality was all over the room with posters of bands and photos of his friends. I took it all in, realizing it might’ve been the best day of my life. My crush was finally surrounding me, and I would soon find out everything I could about him.

I began flipping through his clothes, loving how his personality came out when he wasn’t wearing his school uniform. I loved his band t-shirts as well as his hoodies. I put a larger one on top of my body, loving the way it looked on me. Yes, he would be the perfect boyfriend for sure. I put his baseball cap on, giggling to myself as I stepped in front of the mirror to look at my reflection. I practiced my name with his last name, imagining myself stepping down the aisle with dazzling white, knowing his eyes would never be able to leave me.

I looked under his bed, wanting to see if he had anything hidden underneath it, though I wasn't able to find anything. Instead, I flipped through his socks and underwear, seeing if he could’ve left a diary there. I slumped to the ground as I came up empty, realizing he probably wasn’t the type to keep a diary at all.

I was startled into action when I heard the door open, and I snuck into the closet, shutting it tight against me. I could hear my own breathing inside the enclosed space, but I wasn’t nervous. No, I’d never been the type to feel emotions at all. Instead, I listened for his footsteps, hearing him outside in the living room, getting louder and louder as he moved.

I heard him push his door open from a low creaking noise and held my breath, trying to stay as silent as possible.

Thankfully, I had seen his pajamas folded neatly on his bed, and knew he wouldn’t have to open the closet to change. I could hear the sound of fabric, and knew he was probably taking off his school uniform. I desperately wanted to pull the closet aside and look at him.

I had seen him shirtless before in the basketball field, but this would be completely different. I wouldn’t have anyone standing in the way, like the other girls that cheered him on when he played. Thankfully, he didn’t have a girlfriend. I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off of her neck if he did. He had left his phone out a couple of times on the stand, and I had taken the chance to scroll through his messages, making sure he wasn’t messaging any girls. I wasn’t going to take any chances.

As he continued to make his way around the room, still unaware of my presence, I imagined myself in the room alone with him, just him and I, staring at each other as he realized his love for me. I knew at that very moment I couldn’t wait anymore. I needed him to know, to finally notice me for the first time.

We were perfect for each other, he just didn’t know it yet.

I pushed the closet open, revealing myself to him.

He wasn’t looking in my direction, but I cleared my throat, trying to get his attention.

He turned around to face me, and his face was adorable as he gasped, his mouth hanging open and his eyes widening.

“What… what are you doing in my room?” He asked, looking incredibly confused, and quite frightened. It didn’t matter to me - he would belong to me soon.
